雅克-路易·大衛(wèi)（Jacques-Louis David，1748年－1825年），法國(guó)畫家，新古典主義畫派的奠基人和杰出代表，他在1780年代繪成的一系列歷史畫標(biāo)志著當(dāng)代藝術(shù)由洛可可風(fēng)格向古典主義的轉(zhuǎn)變。 除去在藝術(shù)領(lǐng)域的建樹之外，他還是羅伯斯庇爾的朋友、雅各賓派的一員，活躍于法國(guó)大革命之中。羅伯斯庇爾失勢(shì)之后，又投靠拿破侖。拿破侖失勢(shì)之后就自我流放到布魯塞爾，并終老于此。 代表作品《荷拉斯兄弟之誓》《馬拉之死》《薩賓婦女》。

《護(hù)從搬來(lái)布魯圖斯兒子的尸體》 (法語(yǔ)：Les licteurs rapportent à Brutus les corps de ses fils)是法國(guó)藝術(shù)家雅克-路易·大衛(wèi)的一幅油畫作品。這幅畫的尺寸 323 cm× 422 cm，1789年在巴黎沙龍首次展出。其主題是羅馬共和國(guó)的建立者盧修斯·尤尼烏斯·布魯圖斯，考慮他的兒子們的命運(yùn)。他們密謀推翻共和國(guó)，恢復(fù)君主制，布魯圖斯本人被迫下令處死他們。這樣，布魯圖斯?fàn)奚约旱募彝?，成了共和?guó)的英雄捍衛(wèi)者。這幅畫是公民美德的大膽寓言，對(duì)共和主義不斷發(fā)展的事業(yè)發(fā)出巨大的共鳴。這幅畫的主題是公民美德、犧牲和對(duì)國(guó)家的奉獻(xiàn)，在充滿政治色彩的法國(guó)大革命時(shí)期揭幕時(shí)，引發(fā)了許多爭(zhēng)議。

《拿破侖加冕》（Consecration of the Emperor Napoleon I and Coronation of the Empress Josephine in the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris on 2 December 1804）是法國(guó)畫家雅克-路易·大衛(wèi)于1807年完成的油畫，描述拿破侖一世加冕場(chǎng)景。
拿破侖局部細(xì)節(jié)
1804年9月，拿破侖口頭委托雅克-路易·大衛(wèi)制作這幅畫，他于1805年12月21日開始在索邦神學(xué)院附近克魯尼學(xué)院小教堂里開工。雅克-路易·大衛(wèi)在學(xué)生喬治·魯杰特（Georges Rouget）的協(xié)助下，于1808年1月完成這幅畫。
從1808年2月7日至3月21日，《拿破侖加冕》于1808年在年度沙龍畫展上展出。這幅畫為大衛(wèi)的私人財(cái)產(chǎn)，1819年轉(zhuǎn)移到皇家博物館，直到1837年保存在館內(nèi)。然后在路易-菲利普一世國(guó)王命令下，《拿破侖加冕》被安置在凡爾賽宮博物館。 1889年，《拿破侖加冕》從凡爾賽宮轉(zhuǎn)移到盧浮宮。
此畫其實(shí)有兩幅，第一版本現(xiàn)存于盧浮宮，1808年至1822年間大衛(wèi)親自復(fù)制重畫的第二版本現(xiàn)存于凡爾賽宮，兩幅畫均為真品。差別在于畫面中拿破侖妹妹波麗娜公主著裝顏色不同：凡爾賽宮的這幅著紅紗，盧浮宮的另一幅著白紗。
雅克-路易·大衛(wèi)受美國(guó)企業(yè)家的委托，在1808年原版發(fā)行后立即繪制全尺寸復(fù)制品。他在那一年開始工作，但直到1822年在布魯塞爾流亡期間才完成。復(fù)制品最終于1947年返回法國(guó)凡爾賽宮。
