As my family and friends know, I have been a knowing and cute girl. I am filial to my family, cherish the friendships and show respect to others. I believe that once we lose something, it won't come back.
My father picked me up after I got off the train during this May Day Holiday. On the way back, all of a sudden, he asked me whether I would like to straightly go back home or go to the hospital. Shocked and scared, I asked why he said like that. Then my father told me in a low voice that my mother had undergone an operation in the hospital but to our delight, she was recovering from the operation. They all hid it from me and I even sensed nothing! Just then, to be honest, I felt ashamed and guilty.
When I first met my mother after several months’ leaving, tears welled up in my eyes. Pale and feeble, she was so different from what she had been. The disease had afflicted her so awfully that I even couldn’t recognize her! After the operation, she had to keep lying on the bed for the whole week and she was not allowed to eat too much. Even I, couldn’t endure that, but mother just smiled and said “It doesn’t matter. Anyway, I’m on the road to recovery and soon I’ll go back home.”
I must admit that I have adored my mother since I was very young. She always displayed her brave and optimistic aspects to me as well as my family. So affected by her, I have been coverage and independent both in my study and life. I don’t like crying because I regard it as a form of cowardice.
The next day was my birthday. It was very coincidental, right? So I spent my birthday on accompanying my mother in the hospital. I tried to amuse her so I said “This year I can’t eat your dumplings. It’s really a pity.” Mother smiled and promised to make me enough dumplings after she recovered from the operation. At noon, I fell asleep on another bed next to my mother’s while I was reading a book. In spite of the pains, she struggled to tuck me in! Just then, I woke up and saw my mother sitting beside me and staring at me! I was deeply touched and cried in her hug. Then towards her, I knelt on the ground and cried “Thank you for giving birth to me! I do hope to have a healthy and happy mother.”
Mother is always ready to give everything she has to her children, not to receive. She always makes every effort to make her children healthy and happy. What true love that is in the world! We will remember Mother Love forever. Also I want to say, love our mothers and cherish our life!
