SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Xiaomi, a Chinesehandset maker little known in the West, overtook tech giant Samsung ElectronicsCo. to become China's top-selling smartphone brand in the second quarter, amarket research company said Tuesday.
韓國，首爾（美聯(lián)社）——某市場調(diào)查公司周二稱，中國在西方鮮為人知的手機(jī)制造商小米公司的手機(jī)銷量趕超了科技巨頭三星公司，成為中國今年第二季度銷量最高的智能手機(jī)品牌。
According to Canalys, Xiaomi sold 15million smartphones in Chinaduring the second quarter, more than a three-fold surge from a year earlier. Itsurpassed Samsung, which had the leading position in China for more than two years, aswell as local brands such as Lenovo and Huawei.
據(jù)易觀國際，小米第二季度在中國售出了1500萬部手機(jī)，這較去年同期增長了3倍。小米公司趕超了兩年多來在中國市場處于主導(dǎo)地位的三星電子以及聯(lián)想和華為等本土手機(jī)品牌。
During the April-June period, Samsung's Chinasmartphone sales decreased to 13.2 million units from 15.5 million a yearearlier. Lenovo trailed Samsung by a margin of 2 million units.
三星第二季度在中國的手機(jī)銷量下滑至1320萬部，而去年同期銷量為1550萬部。而聯(lián)想手機(jī)的銷量比三星多了200萬部。
Xiaomi is little known in Europe or inNorth America because it sells nearly all of its smartphones in mainland China. Butstrong growth in Chinaalone was enough to vault Xiaomi to a top five position among the world'ssmartphone makers from nowhere the previous year.
由于小米手機(jī)只在中國大陸有售，歐洲和北美地區(qū)鮮有人知道這個品牌。但在中國銷量的強(qiáng)勁增長就足以讓小米躋身世界智能手機(jī)制造商前五強(qiáng)，而在前一年，小米手機(jī)還默默無聞。
Last week, another market research firmStrategy Analytics said Xiaomi became the world's fifth-largest smartphonevendor for the first time in the second quarter, surpassing LG Electronics Inc.

Canalys said China was the world's largestsmartphone market during the second quarter, with nearly four in every 10smartphones sold there.
