Lifehacker是國外知名的生活工作效率類網(wǎng)站。近期發(fā)布了2011年推薦的Windows軟件清單，并提供打包下載。(via) 為方便讀者了解，先做簡單整理，再陸續(xù)翻譯，并歡迎讀者翻譯后留言提交。

辦公文檔用Office處理，純文本用什么處理呢？當(dāng)然要找一款專業(yè)的編輯器。Notepad++ 就擁有純文本高效編輯所需的各種功能：文本搜索、多頁簽界面、各種代碼的語法高亮……內(nèi)置的腳本語言更可以自主增加所需功能。
需要更簡單的替代品？請(qǐng)?jiān)囉?Notepad2。另有付費(fèi)軟件，比如 SublimeText，似乎增加的東西只有更美觀的界面。
用戶鍵入縮寫，文本自動(dòng)擴(kuò)展——這是節(jié)約時(shí)間的必備功能。而 PhraseExpress 就是 Windows 平臺(tái)的最佳文本擴(kuò)展軟件。它雖不完美，但非常實(shí)用（建議：取消內(nèi)置的自動(dòng)糾錯(cuò)功能）。建立后自己的擴(kuò)展詞條后，在任何程序中鍵入少數(shù)幾個(gè)字母，它就能替換為一段話、多行代碼、日期時(shí)間等信息。
如需更簡潔的方案，推薦 Texter，或 用 AutoHotkey 創(chuàng)建自己的文字?jǐn)U展。
belvedere 是 Texter 作者 Adam Pash 的另一作品，是基于 Mac Hazel 的文件自動(dòng)分類軟件。通過按照文件類型移動(dòng)和分類文件、按創(chuàng)建日期自動(dòng)刪除文件、以及其他規(guī)則，你的文件管理工作會(huì)更有條理、更有效率。只須一次設(shè)定，它便自動(dòng)運(yùn)行，不再需要占用你的時(shí)間。桌面不再凌亂，文件不再會(huì)忘記備份到Dropbox。
老實(shí)說，沒人喜歡用緩慢的 Adobe Reader 打開 pdf 文檔。而 SumatraPDF 剛好與 Adobe Reader 相反：簡潔、快速、易用。它在瞬間打開 pdf 文檔，支持包括表格、注釋在內(nèi)的絕大多數(shù)pdf特性。另外，對(duì)于熱鍵愛好者來說，它具備豐富的熱鍵，可以讓你飛速操作。
需要更多功能？推薦 PDF-XChange。
Chrome 已經(jīng) 超越 Firefox 成為最受高級(jí)用戶喜愛的瀏覽器。原因也很自然：更快、可擴(kuò)展，并通過Google賬號(hào)同步使用偏好、擴(kuò)展、密碼等數(shù)據(jù)。另外，它積極升級(jí)，每隔幾周就通過小而持續(xù)的增量更新取得進(jìn)步。
多數(shù)用戶已經(jīng)改用 web mail，但我們?nèi)匀唤ㄗh安裝一個(gè)郵件客戶端，用于備份、離線訪問。Thunderbird 就是這類軟件中的最佳選擇，支持所有的 IMAP 郵箱，通過眾多擴(kuò)展可以實(shí)現(xiàn)高度個(gè)性化。
如果有更多需求，并可以付費(fèi)，那么 Microsoft Outlook 和基于 Thunderbird 的 Postbox 都可以考慮。
想集中管理多個(gè)在線聊天賬號(hào)？pidgin 就是解決方案。支持 AIM, Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger, MSN, Facebook Chat 以及更多服務(wù)，并且所有好友名單集中管理。通過第3方擴(kuò)展，還可以添加更多IM服務(wù)、主題、通知，并與社交網(wǎng)絡(luò)集成?？芍^是在線聊天與社交網(wǎng)絡(luò)的一站式解決方案。
其他推薦：跨平臺(tái)的 Trillian，主攻社交網(wǎng)絡(luò)的 Digsby。
無論你是否喜歡，很多網(wǎng)站仍然通過 Adobe Flash 播放視頻、驅(qū)動(dòng)應(yīng)用，或只是為網(wǎng)站提供導(dǎo)航。因此，盡管它不是最穩(wěn)定或最快速的插件，我們?nèi)匀唤ㄗh安裝。如果它引起了某些問題，也可以通過 FlashBlock for Chrome 和 FlashBlock for Firefox 在瀏覽器中禁用 flash。
Skype 仍然是最成功的在線視頻交流工具，更不用說它也是最便宜的國際電話提供商。它支持幾乎所有平臺(tái)，包括 Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone, Android 等。就算不是 Skype 迷，也不妨提前安裝，有備無患。或許有一天，有人要通過它與你聯(lián)系呢。
備選方案：Google Chat、Google+
Torrent 是我們最喜愛的Windows平臺(tái) BT 客戶端，體積小巧，但功能豐富。除了下載bT，還可以方便與朋友分享文件、web界面遠(yuǎn)程控制種子、下載的同時(shí)查看視頻。如果你喜歡它，還可以參見這些 提高速度和安全性的技巧。

不喜歡BT者，可以嘗試 用 Usenet 分享和下載文件。而 SABnzbd 則是我們推薦的 Usenet 客戶端。它易于搭建、后臺(tái)運(yùn)行、通過web可在任意桌面上控制。它的操作步驟高度自動(dòng)化，因此，你只要載入 NZB 文件，它就會(huì)完成后續(xù)工作。

Dropbox is still the best file syncing tool around, letting you back up files to the web and sync them between all of your machines and mobile devices. You get 2GB of space to start, but it’s easy to get more space for free, and useful for so much more than just syncing your documents. It’s a must have on any system you own.
If you don’t like Dropbox or have problems with it’s recent security issues, there are a lot of alternatives out there to consider.
PC用戶當(dāng)備份其系統(tǒng)，而 Crashplan 正是 我們最喜愛的備份工具。不僅可以備份到本地硬盤、遠(yuǎn)程PC，還可以付少許費(fèi)用，備份到 Crashplan 的云端，以備意外災(zāi)難。如果你不想付費(fèi)，也可以與朋友的電腦互相備份。

如果你曾刻錄CD和電影，就應(yīng)該對(duì)鏡像文件不會(huì)陌生。ImgBurn 就是這方面最小巧、易用的刻錄工具。幾次點(diǎn)擊，輕松完工：啟動(dòng)程序、加載ISO、點(diǎn)擊刻錄。

過期的臨時(shí)文件、緩存、系統(tǒng)垃圾…… CCleaner 就是最高效，并且安全的清理工具。支持定期任務(wù)，因此無需擔(dān)心遺忘。Windows 用戶必備利器。
【xbeta注】偶用此類軟件，但不做深入研究。參小眾軟件介紹。
Windows有內(nèi)置的軟件卸載功能，但有些情況下它卸載并不完整（所以才需要CCleaner清理垃圾）。Revo Uninstaller 則會(huì)清理軟件的每項(xiàng)遺留信息，并能用來管理啟動(dòng)項(xiàng)，以保持系統(tǒng)快速啟動(dòng)。
【xbeta注】不太用這類軟件，偶然卸載，就用程序自帶快捷方式，或 TC 中的UnInstaller 擴(kuò)展。
Windows可以內(nèi)置支持zip格式，但其他壓縮格式（7z、rar……）需要外部程序的支持。7-Zip簡潔、強(qiáng)大、免費(fèi)、開源，為最佳選擇。
【xbeta注】盡管我主要用TC處理壓縮文件，但 7-Zip 還是必裝軟件。我的口號(hào)是 善用7-Zip，代替收費(fèi)的Winrar和Winzip。
或許 VLC 是Winodws平臺(tái)最流行的播放器，但 KMPlayer 則是 我們的最愛。它功能強(qiáng)大、支持格式豐富，甚至能播放不完整的視頻。
備選方案：擴(kuò)展包中提供了 VLC 。其他還有 Media Player Classic, SMPlayer, 和 PotPlayer。
【xbeta注】很少看視頻，裝的就是 KMPlayer。
如果要管理大量的數(shù)碼照片，則 Picasa 就是終極方案。只須將照片導(dǎo)入，它就會(huì)建立易于瀏覽的照片庫，并提供一些基本但實(shí)用的編輯功能。此外，你還可以通過免費(fèi)的在線相冊(cè)功能，備份或朋友分享照片。
備選方案：Windows Live Photo Gallery 是Windows集成的照片管理工具。更專業(yè)用戶或許可以選擇 Adobe Lightroom。
【xbeta注】我使用 Picasa 并不多，但認(rèn)為這才是真正的“數(shù)碼照片管理工具”。要注意的是：① Picasa適合管理數(shù)碼照片，而非圖片。② IrfanView等是圖片查看工具，盡管有強(qiáng)大的批處理功能，但并不是管理工具。所謂管理工具，面對(duì)的不是個(gè)體，而是很多個(gè)體組成的集合。
當(dāng) Photoshop 或 GIMP 過于復(fù)雜時(shí)，Paint.NET 就是簡單圖像編輯恰到好處的選擇。它功能豐富，從裁剪到消除紅眼，甚至圖層支持。倒是沒有你認(rèn)為多余的其他功能。但對(duì)大多數(shù)用戶而言，功能完全足夠。
【xbeta評(píng)】Paint.NET 的功能并不象上文說得那么少。而 GIMP 也不象上文說得那么復(fù)雜。我主推GIMP，但也認(rèn)為 Paint.NET 和 Pixia 是好選擇。
iTunes 并非我們最偏好的音樂播放器，但它確實(shí)無處不在。尤其當(dāng)你有蘋果設(shè)備需要管理時(shí)，就更離不開它。它具備基本的音樂庫管理功能，并且，很可能是多數(shù)用戶真正需要的軟件。
【xbeta】我知道它的音樂管理方式很好。但作為不聽音樂的用戶，我很少使用 iTunes。另外，我的 iPod Touch 與 iPad 也主要用wifi直接安裝程序，很少用 iTunes。我承認(rèn)，還是不太習(xí)慣它。
Windows 下的安全軟件有很多，但并不是只有花錢才能得到足夠的安全性。微軟的這一產(chǎn)品與Windows集成性好，殺毒率高，不會(huì)提醒你付費(fèi)。并且，相比同類產(chǎn)品，非常輕巧。Microsoft Security Essentials 正是你的安全所需。
【xbeta注】有些用戶追求“最安全”的軟件，我覺得不必要。多數(shù)情況下，好的習(xí)慣+基本的安全軟件足矣。中國個(gè)人用戶，似乎多用免費(fèi)小紅傘或 360。
Chrome may be our favorite browser, but that doesn’t mean Firefox doesn’t have anything going for it. Firefox is still more customizable than any other browser you’ll find, and it’s getting faster all the time. And, with multiple channels, a rapid release cycle, and a new interface on the way, it’s catching up to Chrome big time.
OpenOffice doesn’t have the momentum it used to, and the OpenOffice community has left Oracle’s offering in favor of LibreOffice, the new standard open-source office suite. It’s got a few features OpenOffice doesn’t, as well as a more active community. If you don’t want to pay for Microsoft’s offerings, LibreOffice is the way to go.
Love it or hate it, many of you might need to edit documents in Microsoft Office (or at least view them). Thus, we’ve added a trial version of Office 2007 Standard to the pack, as well as the Office Viewers for those that only need to open a file here and there.
You’re probably going to need all three of these frameworks for something. Better to install them all now and get it over with—after all, waiting for Silverlight to download is a pretty big buzzkill when all you want to do is watch Netflix.
Accidentally deleting files is a horrifying thing that can happen to anyone. Recuva can often get it back, so it’s a good tool to have in your back pocket to help keep you cool in those emergencies.
When you have to copy big files between drives, TeraCopy is a great alternative to Windows Explorer. It’ll move them as fast as possible, pause and resume, and even recover from errors.
Windows Media Player is actually a pretty nice player, and if you’d rather use it than install a separate program, this pack of codecs will make sure that it—and any other player—can handle every video format you might run into.
We understand that many of you are still in love with VLC, and we understand—it might not be our favorite video player, but it’s still one of the best and most popular out there. If you can’t live without the lightweight, play-anything VLC, we’ve included it in the extended pack for you.
If you’re lucky enough to be free of iTunes (or you only use it to manage your iPod), these three players are some fantastic music managers. Foobar2000 is minimal and customizable, MediaMonkey is an library-organizing monster, and Winamp is just a great all-around player for any user.
While the above players are each desktop powerhouses in their own right, we’ve also fallen in love with the cloud music service Spotify. It’s great for discovering new music and testing it out before you buy, so even if you have a local music player, we can’t recommend Spotify enough.
It’s slow, naggy about updates, and somewhat insecure, but unfortunately, sometimes you just need Adobe Reader. Whether you’ve got PDF files with special features Sumatra doesn’t support, or your file just won’t open correctly, chances are it’ll work in Adobe Reader. We recommend keeping SumatraPDF as your default reader, and keeping Adobe around for those unfortunate occasions.
it’s one of the geekier selections on our list, so it isn’t for everybody, but AutoHotkey is one of the most powerful, useful programs you can get for Windows. With just a bit of code, you can turn just about any action in to a keyboard shortcut, or even create your own little programs. It may look intimidating, but it’s surprisingly easy to learn, so if you’ve ever thought “my life would be perfect if I just had this keyboard shortcut”, AutoHotkey is a godsend.
