BEIJING, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- The number of road passengers is expected to hit 46.2 million on Tuesday, the fourth-day of the week-long Spring Festival holiday, as many are returning to their jobs from home-reunions.
The figure is higher than 43.51 million on Monday, according to a road network monitoring center under the Ministry of Transport.
Traffic turned busier in Beijing than the previous two days, but there were no signs of traffic jams as those in normal days, according to the center.
Traffic surrounding other cities, including Xi'an, Hangzhou, Shanghai and Guangzhou, climbed remarkably, indicating more short-distance travelling, according to the center.
