JAKARTA, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Tencent, a China-based leading provider for comprehensive Internet service, announced here Thursday it has set up a joint venture with Indonesia largest media company PT Global Mediacom in a bid to further explore the country vast Internet service potential.The joint venture, engaging in Internet and mobile Internet service, has just launched a WeChat TV commercial to penetrate Wechat to Indonesian Market. Wechat is a popular mobile chatting app created by Tencent which has been available in Indonesia since 2012.Tencent President Martin Lau said on the signing ceremony that Indonesia is a fast-growing country with big number of online media users and Tencent pays great attention to its huge market."Tencent's cooperation with Global Mediacom is a strategic step to establish a more expansive user base in Indonesia."
