College students Join The Army
It’s a good option for college students to join the army. Army is the important constitution in a country. Nowadays, many college students prefer to be soldiers. Why?
Firstly, there are many preferential policies for college students to join the army, such as tuition waiver, wage subsidy. What’s more, I consider join the army can strengthen our mind. In my opinion, it’s the most important reason to join the army. Whatever you are a student or others, two years’ training can build a strong body, too.
I want to join the army. My family is delighted to my decision. Because I want to be a great and strong woman and change my images in front of my friends. More importantly, I would like to experience the army life; I think it will be a colorful moment in my whole life.
Perhaps autumn is the most pleasant season of the year. The weather is neither too hot nor too cold. It is the best time for going on a trip.
Last Sunday we went to the countryside. There was golden wheat all over the fields/The fields were covered with golden wheat. Large and colourful apples and pears were hanging on the trees. We could see some peasants were busy getting in the crops in the fields, and others were picking fruits under the trees. All the baskets were full of lovely fruits. It was also the fruit of the peasants' labour. “ No pains, no gains. ” What a magnificent/beautiful picture(it was)! It seemed as if we were wandering in a splendid/wonderful world.
I love autumn. I love the harvest time.
Before it was proven that the earth was round, it was a well-known"fact"that it was flat. This"fact"was so widely accepted that no one dared test it, because they thought if they did sail out beyond the horizon they would fall off the edge. In other words, because they believed it couldn't be done, it wasn't done.
That is, until Columbus questioned common knowledge and asked"what if?"This question literally expanded the boundaries2)of his country, changed history, and permanently altered accepted reality forever.
In spite of our tendency3)to think of reality as the non-negotiable4)basis of our experience, the definition5)of reality changes every time someone pushes the boundary conditions of conventional6)wisdom. When our perception7)of reality changes, our behavior changes accordingly, based on what is newly considered possible. When Columbus returned from the New World, a revised world map was drawn up and this began a new era of exploration and adventure.
Examples of the impossible being made possible can be found throughout history. When Chuck Yeager flew the X-1, he shattered8)the myth that there was such a thing as a sound barrier9). His training and instincts10), combined with the new technology of the day, not only enabled him to go beyond the speed of sound, but reinforced11)the fact that even alleged12)technological barriers can be overcome as well.
People often approach me in my seminars13)with statements such as, "I'll never be successful because my parents never supported me,""I don't have the right education to create wealth,"or"I can't pursue my dreams because I have too many obligations14)." I even hear, "I can't do what I want in my life because I don't have the money."These statements are clear indicators of the boundary conditions of their own thinking. They are accepting certain seeming truths proven true by their experience and coming up against the individual15)horizons beyond which they cannot conceive of venturing16).
Success follows beliefs such as, "I have all I need to be incredibly wealthy and massively successful."Warren Buffett, the most successful investor of all time, was once asked, "How have things changed for you now that you have incredible wealth?"He responded, "Well, I can afford anything I want..."Then he paused before adding, "...but then again, I always could."Even before Buffett had actually created the wealth he enjoys today, he already had the mind-set17)of wealth-and therefore the power to create it, because he saw the world in those terms."The reasonable man adapts himself to the world,"wrote Bernard Shaw, "the unreasonable17)one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man." When we dare to go beyond our own internal boundary conditions, we discover a whole new world of possible futures for ourselves.
Let's play a little game. It's called the"What's Possible"game. The dictionary definition of possible is something"that can or may be, exist, happen, or be done." Each of the following questions I want you to answer yes or no. Has someone, somewhere on the planet today, achieved these things?
·Is it possible to have a million dollars in the bank?
·Is it possible to have a successful business?
·Is it possible to wake up excited about life?
·Is it possible to have happy, loving relationships?
·Is it possible to be fit and healthy?
·Is it possible to find your life's work and feel passionate18)about your life most of the time?
You may have experienced one of the side effects of this game as you answered the questions. This is called the"yes, buts."The"yes, buts"are responses such as"Yes, but that won't happen to me,"or"Yes, but that's because they had privileges19)I don't have,"and so forth.
Ignore the"yes, buts"for the time being. All I want you to do right now is open your mind to the possibility that the world is made up of a countless array of experiences from the very worst to the very best. As someone once said,"A mind is like a parachute20)-it works best when open."And here is my promise: If you open your mind, you will enjoy a more abundant and fulfilling21)life.
The motivation to succeed comes from the burning desire to achieve a purpose. Napoleon Hill wrote, "Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve."
A young man asked Socrates the secret to success. Socrates told the young man to meet him near the river the next morning. They met. Socrates asked the young man to walk with him toward the river. When the water got up to their neck, Socrates took the young man by surprise and ducked(vt. 將……猛按入水) him into the water. The boy struggled to get out but Socrates was strong and kept him there until the boy started turning blue. Socrates pulled his head out of the water and the first thing the young man did was to gasp(vi.喘息) and take a deep breath of air. Socrates asked, "What did you want the most when you were there?" The boy replied, "Air." Socrates said, "That is the secret to success. When you want success as badly as you wanted the air, then you will get it.There is no other secret."
A burning desire is the starting point of all accomplishment. Just like a small fire cannot give much heat, a weak desire cannot produce great results.
How to choose Friends
As the saying goes, “A friend in need is a friend indeed”. Friends play a very essential role in our daily life. However, how to make goods friends is a problem for most of us. As for me, I have three principles to choose friends.
In the first place, good friends should have their own principles. We should take into account the fact that people who insist on their principles have high quality. Therefore, it is worth making friends with them.
Then, I want to point out that good friends should be full of trust. This kind of person has a pure heart, so we can communicate with each other by heart.
Finally, active friends are just like beautiful sunshine. They can light up our blue mood, drive away the dark clouds and give us courage.
Friends who have above three characteristics will be great wealth for us.
The Meaning of Sharing
I believe when we were little babies, we were taught to learn to share with others. At first, I don’t understand. But now I can understand gradually. Share happiness will make me feel happier, while share my sadness with my friends will make me reduce sadness. When I told my friends I got the first praise in the recital contest, they all congratulated to me and said many good words, which made me happier. When I got blame from my teacher, I told my friends, which made me felt comfortable. Besides, their comfort also helped me feel better. What’s more, sharing my experience with others that help them lots can makes me feel satisfied. Anyway, sharing my emotion and things with others makes me feel awesome. You’d better try to learn to share, and then you will understand.
My View on Discipline
Almost all of the foreigner investment companies believe that company need to be discipline first, then efficiency. But how do they do?
Firstly, leaders should exactly do what they have said, that is the beginning of the discipline, and it will impact the reputation of the company. If every employee of the company can do what they said, the discipline teams can be built.
Secondly, the leaders of the company must be careful about the order they transmit making it, please think and think carefully, otherwise, once has given the order, but no execution, the organization’s discipline will not be exist.
Finally, the discipline is part of the company culture, how to standard the company’s discipline, is a large knowledge, since discipline is exist company’s invisible culture, is part of the organization, that require every employee be credit and said to do.
Advantages and Disadvantages of advertising
Nowadays, no matter where you get around in a city or even in the countryside, it is pretty easy for you to find one or two signs introducing a product. This has been increasingly becoming popular in our daily lives. Whether the influence of advertising is good or bad could be examined as follows.
We will start by talking about the merits of advertising. Firstly, advertising is informative, which provides the customers with a quick access to the product needed. Take me as an example. I am a new resident of Guangzhou, a metropolitan city located in the south of China. At the very beginning when moving to this city, I did not have a clue about where to purchase all of the necessities for my newly-bought flat. Thanks to the ads on TV and in newspapers, amazingly almost all of the items ranging from furniture to household appliances were settled within a week. Secondly, consumers can expect to have a best price by comparing and contrasting the prices and specifications of the commodity advertised by different suppliers.
However, advertising involves some defects and I would like to list two of them herein. Initially, the popularity of advertisements has been growing along with the increased layout of design as well as showing up in the marketplace more frequently. The cost will definitely be passed on to the customers. Furthermore, the generation Y would probably lose their individuality because many of them buy the same goods advertised constantly in media during a certain period of time, which makes them appear alike.
After the above analysis of the pros and cons, I tend to be in favor of the positive effects. Undoubtedly, nothing is more important than living in a society where ordinary people can enjoy the conveniences and competitive prices brought by commercials. I believe that the negative effects can be minimized through sustainable economic growth and education.

Almost all of us heard the story “Here Comes the Wolf” when we were little kids. What we can learn from the story is that we must be honest. However, there’re lots of phenomena of dishonesty nowadays.
Being dishonest does great harm not only to other people but also to yourself. Take the case of fake milk powder for example. After drinking this kind of milk, the babies had big heads while their legs and arms were still thin, which badly affected their health. To our great relief, the producers got accused and punished for all the serious consequences in the end.
Having the reputation of being honest and reliable will make other people trust you, which will provide you many benefits and give you opportunities that others may not get. Being honest, you will find it easier to cooperate with others and people will be friendly to you and support you. In a sense, if life is a longjourney, honesty will be the backpack that should be taken along all the way.
Let’s pick up our “backpack”—honesty, and start the wonderful journey!

In my eyes, with confidence, right assessment of the difficulties, as well as full preparation, try and exert your strength, and then we will overcome all problems and challenges. As we know, a growing outbreak of H1N1 flu has been sparked in many countries. An increasing number of cases are being reported every day。
It’s thought that H1N1 flu spreads in the same way that regular seasonal influenza viruses do, that is, spreading from person-to-person, mainly through the coughs and sneezes of people who are sick with the virus。
Faced with this severe disease, here are some everyday measures we should take to stay healthy. First, cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way. If you get sick, stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them。
Finally, H1N1 flu is not a terribly deadly disease, which is curable. So, don’t be nervous and just keep calm as usual。

How time flies! Four moths have passed since we saw each other last time. I cannot helpbut miss you. You asked me about Chinese Spring Festival. Now I would like to tell yousomething about it.The Spring Festival is a Chinese traditional festival. It is the most important and enjoyable one. A few days before the festival, houses are cleaned and red couplets are put up on the doors of every household. They are said to frighten away the ghosts. On that day, people are dressed up. Firecrackers ring out in the air, which adds to the atmosphere of the festival. People after a year’s hard work begin to relax and visit one another. Presents and dinners are given to celebrate the happy reunion of friends and relatives. Families get together. They have jiaozi and enjoy the New Year TV show. Customs may vary from place to place, but the same happy atmosphere is to be found everywhere in the country.
Now, I hope you have some idea of Chinese Spring Festival.

Wealth and Happiness
Some people think wealth can bring happiness to them. It is true that most of them try to acquire wealth by means of honest labor. They work hard and overcome many difficulties. After doing this, they feel very happy and pleased. Even their spending money is a kind of happiness。
But some people believe wealth can’t bring them happiness. For example, when one gets a fortune, the family members will come from different parts of the country and try to share the wealth with him. And afterwards, they will quarrel with one another, trying to share more. And sometimes even appear bloody fight and killing. What a terrible result!
In my opinion, I think there is no doubt that wealth brings happiness, especially in the modern society. If you have money you can lead a comfortable and colorful life. But we should take a proper attitude towards wealth. Remember: money is not everything。
Wealth & Health
Which is more important, wealth or health? Different people have different opinions.
Some people prefer wealth, holding that money can not bring everything, but without it, one can do nothing. In order to accumulate more money they can do anything. However, other people regard health as more important. Once health is lost, it is no use having a lot of money.
As far as I am concerned, I love wealth, but I value health more. Everybody wants to live a happy life. So they try their best to earn money which can ensure they lead a comfortable life, but if happiness and comfort are achieved at the cost of their health, how can they be happy? Without health money becomes meaningless.
In my opinion, no one agrees that a wealthy person without good health can be happy. So, just do our best to keep healthy.
The Growing Pains
Whenwe are little, we are eager to grow up, so that we can break free of parentaldiscipline even leave them far. Since we were a little child, we have to begoverned by teachers in school and endure parent’s ramble at home. These are ourgrowing pains. Besides, study, friendship, sometimes campus romance maytrouble us. However, as we grow up, we gradually find that things mentionedabove are not pains at all. There are much more serious things brother us. Forexample, we may be less sensitive to the simple happiness and loss themgradually. It’s hard for us to laugh from our heart. Moreover, we are in theage that we are eager to grow up but afraid to grow up either. The ambivalence afflictsus a lot. However, no matter what happens in our growth, they are parts of ourlives. We must accept them actively and do not let the pains prevent us fromhappiness.
In my opinion, reading is of great benefit to us. Forone thing, reading is a good way to make one more intelligent. For another, good habit and active attitude can be formed through it. Just as an old sayinggoes, books are the ladder of human progress. So important are books that weshould attach significance to it.
I go in for reading foreign literature, such asCelebrity Biography and How the Steel Was Tempered. Coming to know more aboutthe author, I always choose to read something concerning theirs unbelievableexperience and meaningful events. Realizing the value of time and life by them,I show more respect than sympathy to then. I wonder how they keep a positiveattitude towards life.
I have ever read How the Steel Was Tempered, writtenby Ostrovsky. The hero, Palu, facing unexpected difficulties in life, however,he chose to face bravely but bot to evade. It is his courage that has a strongimpact on me. Now, no matter when and where, I try my best to be brave insteadof being craven and timorous.
In brief, reading a good book is just like making agood friend. So, don't waste your time. Pick up your book and read it!

Science of Farming
May 12,Sunday
Today I went to the country to see my uncle. Seeing the green cabbages and the fine wheat, I couldn't help asking how he could grow them so well.Uncle said that science of farming was important. It included: choosing the best seeds; keeping the condition of soil good and ploughing deeply; sowing the seed and growing young plants at the correct time; changing the crops in the fields; and giving plenty of water, light and fertilizer.
