Three main methods
1、AMERICAN （English) knitting 美式（英式）
The needle is held under the palm.
棒針放在手掌下面。
The yarn is wraped counterclockwise for both the knit and purl stitches,and the right hand controls the yarn and working needle.
每個上針和下針，毛線逆時針卷上去，右手控制毛線和挑線編織的棒針。
The left hand controls the (source)needle,which drop the stitch onto the working needle.
左手控制（源）棒針，其將線圈落下至挑線編織的棒針。
2、PENCIL knitting筆架式
This is a British variant and a French technique.
這是英式的變種和一種法式技巧。
The working needle is held as one would a pencil,and the yarn is wrapped counterclockwise for both the knit and purl stitchs.
挑線編織的棒針像握筆那樣拿著，上針和下針，毛線都是逆時針卷上去。
As the knitting progresses it is necessary to accommodate the increased bulk in your working hand and to balance the working needle on you arm.
隨著編織的進(jìn)行，為顧及挑線編織的那只手上增加的體積，會將挑線編織的棒針放在手臂上進(jìn)行平衡。
The tention on the yarn is loose,generally requiring smaller needles.
毛線上的張力是松弛的，通常需要更小的棒針。
3、GERMAN (or Continental or Swiss)德式（大陸式或瑞士式）
Knitting is done with the yarn controlled by the left hand and the working needle by the right hand.
左手帶線，右手持挑線編織的針。
Pick up the yarn for the new stitch with the working needle,which the index finger or the thumb can control,whichever is more comfortable.
使用挑線編織的針挑起毛線編織新的1針，這針用食指或大拇指控制，不管哪個都會更舒適。
There are two different ways to wrap the yarn in this style,one wrap is counterclockwise for both knit and purl stitches;the other is clockwise for both knit and purl stitches.
在德式編織中有2種繞線的方式，1種上針和下針都是逆時針繞線，而另一種則都是順時針繞線。
And there is a BLENDED STYLE,which use clockwise-wraped purl stitch and counterclockwise-wraped knit stitch.
有一種混合的方式，使用順時針方向織上針，逆時針方向織下針。
The combination lets you pick up,rather than wrap on,both knit or purl stitches with the working needle.
這種混合使你使用挑針編織的棒針編織是無論正反都是挑起，而不是將毛線繞在上面。

Knitting is less right- or left handed than the people who knit.
編織不分左右手，而編織的人分。
English style is sometimes known as 'right-handed knitting',while Continential style is some times labelled 'left-handed knitting'.
英式編織有時被稱為“右手編織”而大陸式編織則被貼上“左手編織'的標(biāo)簽。
This term can be slightly misleading,as many right-handed knitter knit continential style and vice versa.
這樣的說法會稍有誤導(dǎo)性，因為很多右手編織者會以大陸式編織，反過來也是。
Some left-handed knitters learn by knitting in an opposite fashion to a right-handed knitter,mirroring the diagrams in knitting books and reversing the actions usually performed with the right hand to perform them with the left.
有些左撇子編織者學(xué)會一種與右手編織者相對的編織，將編織書籍上的編織圖表鏡像,將右手編織者通常的動作顛倒過來，使用左手。
Different from the common knitting from right to left ,they knit from left to right.
與一般的從右向左的編織不同，她們從左向右編織。
