以漢字的“人”作為核心創(chuàng)意，既反映了中國(guó)文化的特色，又呼應(yīng)了上海世博會(huì)會(huì)徽的設(shè)計(jì)理念。在國(guó)際大型活動(dòng)吉祥物設(shè)計(jì)中率先使用文字作為吉祥物設(shè)計(jì)的創(chuàng)意，是一次創(chuàng)新。
Created from the Chinese character "人," which means people, the mascot embodies the character of Chinese culture and echoes with the designing concept of the emblem of World Expo Shanghai. Using the Chinese character as the mascot of an international event is an innovation.
三、名字由來
中國(guó)2010年上海世博會(huì)吉祥物的名字叫“海寶(HAIBAO)”,意即“四海之寶”。“海寶”的名字朗朗上口，也和他身體的色彩呼應(yīng)，符合中國(guó)民俗的吉祥稱謂原則。“海寶”的名字與吉祥物的形象密不可分，寓意吉祥。
The name of the mascot of World Expo 2010 Shanghai China is Hai Bao, which means the treasure of the sea. The name of Hai Bao is easy to remember, echoes with the color of its body and is a typical lucky name in Chinese tradition.
