What is Blog?
Blog basically is a journal that is available on the web!
從字面上解釋，Blog是Weblog的簡稱，Weblog是“Web”與“Log”的組合, 因此Weblog就可以理解為互聯(lián)網(wǎng)上的一種流水性記錄。Blog被媒體稱作繼電子郵件和即時通訊軟件之后的另一種革命性的交流方式。
Blogging Server
Moveable Type 使用Perl編寫的Weblog系統(tǒng)，是使用最廣的Blog架站系統(tǒng)。主要特點是多用戶、多Weblog、各種語言編碼支持，并且全部頁面都能夠生成靜態(tài)HTML，大大緩解服務器的負擔；
Plog 基于PHP的Blog程序，特別是在MT的授權出現(xiàn)變化之時，有很多網(wǎng)站遷移到Plog之上。Plog支持多用戶、多Weblog，是開放源代碼的免費軟件。
SnipSnap 基于Java 的一套Weblog/WiKi集成系統(tǒng)，但使用的最多的是其WiKi功能，Blog倒是用的人不多。
The Roller Weblogger 使用最廣泛的Java編寫的Blog系統(tǒng)，一般使用JSP都會選用它。不過相比其它語言，java還是有些過于復雜，因此不多人使用。
TrackBack
Blog的一個重要特色是TrackBack，譯做引用通告。通過TrackBack，你可以在自己的Blog上就別人發(fā)表的某篇文章做評論和延伸，并通知對方你引用了它文章中的內(nèi)容。TrackBack使互聯(lián)網(wǎng)上的信息通過鏈接聯(lián)系起來，你對一件事情的評論再也不是孤孤單單，Blog真正成為一種發(fā)掘網(wǎng)絡無限鏈接能量的力量。

RSS
RSS是一種技術規(guī)范的簡稱，不同的技術團體將其分別描述為：
但其實這三個解釋都是指同一種Syndication的技術。在形式上，也分別有RSS技術的主導者、哈佛大學研究員Dave Winer的RSS 0.93、RSS2.0（Apple、News.com的出版商CNET Networks等支持），IBM軟件工程師SamRuby 2003年發(fā)起的Atom（Google和Six Apart――Movable Type的擁有著支持）。
本質上它們都是一種遵循W3C RDF規(guī)范的XML格式，是一種多用途、可擴展的元數(shù)據(jù)描述及聯(lián)合推廣格式。
RSS - stands for Rich Site Summary(or Really Simple Syndiction, or is actually called Atom). RSS creates a "Feed" users can subscribe to and Subscribers can see when new articles are posted. RSS basically is a list of headlines encoded so that it can be easily read or displayed by another program or website.
RSS目前廣泛用于blog、wiki和網(wǎng)上新聞頻道，世界多數(shù)知名新聞社網(wǎng)站都提供RSS訂閱支持。RSS閱讀軟件的操作方式與閱讀電子郵件極為相似，因此，不少專家認為將RSS閱讀功能集成到電子郵件客戶端是未來的趨勢。

Web 2.0的新概念
Flickr 是一個分享圖片的社會化網(wǎng)絡。Flickr利用用戶產(chǎn)生的內(nèi)容連接起一個社會網(wǎng)絡。用戶可以合作并利用彼此的Tags(標簽)來發(fā)現(xiàn)新的圖片。
Folksonomy（分眾分類）是一個創(chuàng)造詞，＝Floks+Taxonomy，F(xiàn)olks在英文中表示一群人的意思。Taxonomy則是指分類法，。Folksonomy是指“群眾”自發(fā)性定義的平面非等級標簽分類，我將它稱為“分眾分類”，也有人將之解釋為Social Classification。舉個例子，當我在收藏Sina.com時，自定義了“門戶”，“中國”，“新聞”這3個關鍵詞作為標簽，而其他人在收藏Sina.com時也自定義了自己的關鍵詞作為標簽。而最后系統(tǒng)統(tǒng)計出來使用“門戶”，“中國”，“新聞”這個3個關鍵詞來定義Sina.com的頻率最高，那么這3個詞就是用戶對Sina.com的分眾分類 - Folksonomy。Folksonomy有幾個特點，首先，是由個人自發(fā)性定義，第二，標簽分類是公開共享的，可以被所有人看到，其三，是由用戶群體定義的頻率來決定。
Linkedin 主要功能即為用戶建立一個有價值的關系網(wǎng)，在這個關系網(wǎng)中，除了自己認識的一班朋友外，其它人都是這些朋友的朋友，但你可以通過朋友和這些朋友的朋友去聯(lián)系一個你希望認識的人，至于中間的關系你并不用知道，只需從軟件的登記名單中找出你想聯(lián)系的人。
