第一部分(para.1)
used to believe in the American Dream, which meant…,chasing
第二部分(para.2--5)
unhappy events,  fell apart, countryside, a shabby house, the art of being a neighbor, a belief, a different American Dream, a civilized life, nonexistent, valuable possessions, relationships,  moved back,  managed, in shelters
a shared one, It’s not so much about what I can get for myself, it’s about how we can all get by together.
36.A。結(jié)合文章主旨和上文語(yǔ)境。由此句 “I wanted it and worked toward it like everyone else.”作者過(guò)去曾經(jīng)堅(jiān)信的美國(guó)夢(mèng)就是大家都在共同的追求中實(shí)現(xiàn)個(gè)人的成功。separately單獨(dú)地,個(gè)別地;equally相等地;平等地;
37.B。 由第二段 “a series of unhappy events”,一系列的不幸使得作者的夢(mèng)想破碎。fall apart崩潰,破碎;fall off 減少;跌落;變壞;fall over被…
“I had my truck and $56”,因?yàn)樽髡咭呀?jīng)到了幾乎身無(wú)分文的地步,帶著身上僅有的56美元,作者只能租下最便宜的花費(fèi)的住所(some place I could rent)。
40. C。 作者找到了可以租賃的一個(gè)破舊房子,不過(guò)要沿著橫跨波托馬克河的蜿蜒山路向上行走4英里?!?a winding mountain road”橫跨 “the Potomac River”,over在…
“a shabby house”這是一個(gè)破舊的房子,“full of broken glass and rubbish”到處都是破碎的玻璃碎片和垃圾,所以看出這里早已被遺棄多時(shí),occupied已占用的,在使用的;abandoned被放棄的,被遺棄的 ,其余兩項(xiàng)被清空的和被搶劫的語(yǔ)境不符。
43.A。 although盡管;雖然位置應(yīng)該放在 “The locals knew nothing about me”之前。 它們都不符合?div style="height:15px;">
文章第一段講到了“the American Dream,which meant a job, a mortgage (按揭), credit cards, success”,空格后提示“not the one of individual achievement”,可知這是一個(gè)不同的(different)American Dream。
49. A。 由第二段中“I came upon a shabby house four miles up a winding mountain road”可知房子在山上,可知選up。
根據(jù)第二段的“I _38_the countryside for some place”可知作者到鄉(xiāng)村找地方租住,現(xiàn)在是“I moved back into”,當(dāng)然是搬回到城里(town)了。
前面說(shuō)“many people were having a really hard time”,許多人正過(guò)著相當(dāng)艱難的生活,可知是失去(losing)了工作和家。
get in是主動(dòng)進(jìn)入,不符合語(yǔ)境。
about后面的從句不缺主語(yǔ)、賓語(yǔ)、表語(yǔ),因此不選what;也沒(méi)有是否(whether)的意思;也沒(méi)有涉及時(shí)間問(wèn)題(when),因此只能選how.

第一部分(para.1)
a little girl, poor house on a hill, a small garden, a wonderful house with shining golden windows, desired to live such a house
?div style="height:15px;">
第二部分(para.2-3)
gained some skill and sensibility, allowed her to go, The day was beautiful, across the valley , rode to the golden house, focus on the path, vey disappointed, windows were rather dirty
第三部分(para.4)
Heart-broken, amazing, There on the other side of the valley was a little house and its windows were golden. She had been living in the golden house filled with love and care.
主句是she desired to live in such a house, 從句是she loved her parents and her family, 主句和從句的關(guān)系應(yīng)該是讓步關(guān)系,雖然她深?lèi)?ài)著自己的父母和家人,但還是渴望住在那棟房子里。
38.A。 desired to live in such a house和______ all day about how wonderful and exciting… dream about doing sth 夢(mèng)想做…,所以選擇dreamed。
39.C。 本題的解題關(guān)鍵在于介詞about 后面的賓語(yǔ)從句how wonderful and exciting _________ must be to live there.這個(gè)句子如果用陳述句型表達(dá)應(yīng)該是:_____ must be wonderful and exciting to live there. 經(jīng)分析可知,本題考查的是it做形式主語(yǔ),代替后面的不定時(shí)to live there。
41.A。 上一段提到desired, dreamed等動(dòng)詞,說(shuō)明了小女孩渴望的心情,后面有提到 “Her mother finally allowed her to go”,由此可知小女孩“懇請(qǐng)”媽媽答應(yīng)自己的請(qǐng)求,所以選擇A。
42.B。 下文提到了keeping close to the house(在房子周邊,附近),說(shuō)明這里表達(dá)的是在花園周?chē)T車(chē)。
上文提到begged her mother for a bike ride, 所以這里應(yīng)該是表明媽媽對(duì)她的要求,不要騎(riding)太遠(yuǎn),所以答案選擇C。
A little girl lived in a simple and poor house on a hill.
由下段的開(kāi)始句she got off her bike and put it against the gate post, 可知小姑娘騎車(chē)到金色的房子的門(mén)口,所以答案為D。
48.B。 本句的解題關(guān)鍵在于主句中的謂語(yǔ)focused on the path和從句謂語(yǔ)got off the bike之間的邏輯關(guān)系。先下車(chē)再專(zhuān)心研究/看…,由此可知要選的從屬連詞為引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句的,但是got of f her bike 為瞬間動(dòng)詞,而while引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞應(yīng)該是延續(xù)性的,所以否定C答案,選擇B。
49.  C。 get to 到達(dá);introduce… to 介紹…給…;lead to 通向; move to 朝…
上句提到她focused on the path and then on the house itself, 說(shuō)明她仔細(xì)觀察了這條道路和那所房子。
前面說(shuō)到she was very disappointed和下面提到very dirty,這些都是選擇本題答案的依據(jù),既然disappointed, 就說(shuō)明這所房子遠(yuǎn)沒(méi)有她當(dāng)初想象得好,很一般,很普通。
53.A。 There on the other side of the valley…
There on the other side of the valley was a little house and its windows were golden.

第一部分(para.1)
used to be a very self-centered person, changed, happy
第二部分(para.2--3)
be left alone, everyone but me had made friends and was having fun, started asking people around me how they were doing, had several new friends
第三部分(para.4)
care about other people more than about myself
根據(jù)文章第二句“in the past two years I have really changed.”,可推知,我現(xiàn)在是一個(gè)與之前不同的人了,故選C。
38.D。 根據(jù)文章第二句“in the past two years I have really changed.”,可推知,本段要講的是,我的改變發(fā)生在什么時(shí)候,故選D。
40.A。 由上句“I thought I was smarter than everyone else,”,可知,作者自恃清高,看不起別人,因而也不與人說(shuō)話(huà)交流,故選A。
41.B。 根據(jù)前一句話(huà)“I hardly ever talked to anyone else”,可知作者沒(méi)有朋友,很孤獨(dú),故選B。
42.C。 根據(jù)下文“I started asking people around me how they were doing, and if they were having trouble I offered to help”,可知作者這樣做,不是A爭(zhēng)論,不是B游戲,而是一個(gè)嘗試,D變化與前邊動(dòng)詞不搭配,故選C。
43.B。 根據(jù)前一句“if they were having trouble”可推知,作者是愿意提供幫助的,故選B。
這是一個(gè)由and連接的并列句,前后都是一個(gè)簡(jiǎn)單句,后半句中表達(dá)“其中有兩人”,所以用two of them.
由后邊句子“making others feel good make me feel good, too”,可知,老人是使作者明白了一個(gè)道理,故選D。
51.B。 根據(jù)前一句話(huà)“when she died”,可知作者非常傷心,故選B。

第一部分(para.1)
it’s Baldy; was used to regular insults;
第二部分(para.2--3)
a bowl full hot oil fell on my head; save my life; with scars on her head; hair won’t grow; people would call me horrible names like Baldy
第三部分(para.5)
much happier; it is your personality that decides who you truly are.
11. C。根據(jù)首句baldy(禿頭)和第二段with scars on her head可知作者頭上能看到的應(yīng)該是‘疤痕’,因此選項(xiàng)C正確。
13. D。根據(jù)a bowl full hot oil fell on my head,可知作者受的是‘燙傷’,因此D選項(xiàng)正確。
15. B。根據(jù)句中to save my life,可知‘挽救生命’如同一場(chǎng)‘戰(zhàn)斗’,因此B選項(xiàng)正確。
xx。k.Com]
For the first time in my life I could speak to someone who’d been through something similar(在我的生活中第一次可以和一個(gè)與我有相似經(jīng)歷的人交談)可以得知之前沒(méi)有人能夠‘感同身受地、真正地’理解她。
be introduced … to …
23. B。根據(jù)句中she never lets anyone put her down (她從來(lái)不讓任何人將她擊?。
根據(jù)what people say about(人們說(shuō)什么),可知是不要‘聽(tīng)’,因此選項(xiàng)D正確。
25. B。根據(jù)上下文中的句子we’re not different from anyone else(我們同其他人沒(méi)有任何不同)和you look great(你看上去棒極了)可知,Stephanie是在鼓勵(lì)作者,因此選項(xiàng)B正確。
26. C。根據(jù)you don’t need to wear a scarf(你沒(méi)有必要戴頭巾)可知Stephanie要表達(dá)的是‘不戴’頭巾看上去也很棒,因此選項(xiàng)C正確。
29. A。根據(jù)前句show off the scars (亮出疤痕)和not having to … behind my scarf可知應(yīng)該是‘不必再躲藏在圍巾的后面’因此選項(xiàng)A正確。
30. D??疾槎陶Z(yǔ)詞義。be proud of , 意思是‘為…… 選項(xiàng)B be aware of (意識(shí)到……),選項(xiàng)A be sick of(討厭……)和選項(xiàng)C be tired of (厭倦……)

第一部分(para.1)
father’s hands; calluses and roughness; the story of his life
第二部分(para.2--4)
picking sweet corn; frustrated; laughed; never gives up; optimistic; through the hard times; real love
第三部分(para.5)
life lessons; father, teacher, friend and hero
33.A。 袄邸焙汀敖o我打氣加油”之間是轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系,所以應(yīng)該用in spite of。
35.D。句中的I have learned from you 是一個(gè)定語(yǔ)從句,空處就是它所修飾先行詞,從句中的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞learned缺少賓語(yǔ),空處就是它的賓語(yǔ),這樣就是learn … from you,從四個(gè)選項(xiàng)中找一個(gè)詞填到這個(gè)省略號(hào)中做賓語(yǔ),lessons是最合適的,意思是“我從你那里學(xué)習(xí)到的生活上的一些經(jīng)驗(yàn)教訓(xùn)”。
