一、以“總……”表示的首席長官，可選擇general、chief、head這類詞表示。
總書記 general secretary
總工程師 chief engineer
總會計師 chief accountant
總經(jīng)理 general manager
總代理 general agent
總教練 head coach
二、一些行業(yè)的職稱頭銜，直接用“高級”或“資深”來表示，可用"senior"來稱呼。
高級記者 senior reporter
高級講師 senior lecturer
三、“首席”英語常用chief來表達。
首席執(zhí)行官 chief cxecutive officer(CEO)
首席顧問 chief advisor
